Fall Bucket List For Friends

PIN THIS!!! Fall bucket list for Friends - activities you can your girlfriends should do together before Fall ends.

Today I’m partnering with Sole Society to share a 6 item Fall Bucket List for Friends in hopes of inspiring you to celebrate the season with your gal pals.  If you’ve been following my blog for a while you might recall that last year I did a Fall Bucket List for Kids, but this year’s list is more mom-centric.  I tried not to make it too long because most of us have commitments outside of friendships that limit our socializing.   These early stages of motherhood have really shifted how I prioritize my time, but I think it’s so important to keep a close circle of girlfriends.

Fall Bucket List for Friends Activity 1: Sip Fall Sangria Together

Fall Bucket List for Friends - Drink Sangria

I’m always looking for an excuse to sip cocktails with friends.   My husband doesn’t drink anymore so it’s nice to have a drinking partner every now and then.    This apple sangria sounds amazing and will be so good complimenting a FONDUE PARTY!!!    We have a firepit built into our backyard patio so I’ll be doing this soon with my neighborhood mom friends.   I don’t think I have a friend who doesn’t love wine, bread, and cheese so it will be easy to find company.

Fall Bucket List for Friends Activity 2: Attend a Tailgate

I went to undergrad and grad school at UConn and my girlfriends are getting together for a football game later this month.   I’ve always been one to enjoy the tailgate more than the game itself, which works out great because the UConn football team isn’t doing so hot this season.   The weather is perfect this time of year to grill and chill on a Saturday.

Fall Bucket List for Friends Activity 3: Attend a Costume Party

My girlfriend, who we happened to buy a house across the street from, hosts an annual Halloween costume party.   Have you seen me showing her Halloween decor on my Instagram stories?   My kids are terrified by the bloody Zombies in her yard yet want to walk over there everyday.  Last year my husband and I attended her party as a cat (me) and a crazy cat lady (him with a wig with curlers and stuffed animals attached to a fuzzy bathrobe).   This year my husband thought of the costume and I’m waiting to surprise you all with it 🙂

Fall Bucket List for Friends Activity 4: Have a Friendsgiving Dinner

I have a group of girlfriends that does this every year and I really look forward to it.   I love turkey swimming in a pool of gravy alongside a cocktail.   Are you more of a pie person?   I am a savory lover more than sweet.   I wait all year for the cornbread sausage stuffing at my local Whole Foods.

Fall Bucket List for Friends Activity 5: Get Fall Hued Manicures

While I’m suggesting you go to a nail salon, I also want to clue you in on something my Facebook followers recently told me about in case you’re not in the know.  There is an easy, inexpensive, at home nail polish that lasts a full week.   I’m not sure about you, but I don’t have the time or money to get to the nail salon every 2 weeks.   This nail polish lasts a full week!   Prior to this one I had tried a Revlon gel polish (amongst others) and the polish was chipping within 2-3 days.   You’ll want the one week Vinylux topcoat ($10) but there’s no base coat.   The polish itself dries quickly so it isn’t a very length process (I paint my nails when my kids go to bed).  Here are some of my favorite Fall shades if you gals want to save money and do home manicures.

Fall Bucket List for Friends Activity 6: Visit an Orchard or Pumpkin Patch

If you’re a parent and childcare is an issue then bring the kids along.   Who doesn’t love a pumpkin patch (or apple fritters)?   My kids love the hayrides so we usually go with other families and afterward head out for brunch.   Pumpkin patches and orchards are the best backdrops for great Fall photos with your friends and family.   MAKE SURE TO BE IN SOME PHOTOS!!!    Prior to blogging I was always behind the camera (phone) and rarely had anything but some random selfies with my babies.  Grab your girlfriends and huddle up for a great Fall photo.  If you’re taking Fall photos and aren’t sure how to dress your family this post might be helpful to you 🙂

If you’re heading to an orchard or pumpkin patch soon and don’t have a Fall outfit yet I LOVE this fur vest (faux of course) Fall outfit from Sole Society!  I was a little nervous the vest would be too large since it’s one size but I think the fit is perfect.  I love that this fur vest mixes brown and gray fur so you could wear it with any color boots.

These over the knee boots are true to size and the perfect neutral color.   Slouchy boots are in this season and I like that this pair is a bit slouchy while still keeping their shape enough to cover my knees.  I am 5’11” for reference.  These boots would be even higher if you’re smaller.  The boots coordinate well with this taupe handbag that’s perfectly sized to carry just enough (of my kids’) belonging.  Sole Society had a lot of great faux leather handbags (which clean really easily) that are perfect for outings with the family.

What is your favorite Fall activity to share with friends?   I’d love to hear from you!   Drop a comment below.

What a beautiful outfit and list! I always make a point to go to the corn maze during this time of the year and watch Halloween. Tradition you know? I absolutely love the vest and how soft it looks. Just everything about this outfit is gorgeous!
