4 Spring Shoe Must-Have (with outfit inspiration)

In today’s post, I’m partnering with Nordstrom to share 4 must-have shoe styles for spring.  These are the 4 types of shoes I consider staples in my spring (and summer) wardrobe.  As you probably know, Nordstrom is one of my go-to stores for shoes because they have the best selection of styles from dress shoes to sneakers.

Embellished Slides

For spring must-have shoes, I have to start with sandals and I’m a big fan of these embellished slides.  I love slide sandals because they are cute, super comfortable and easy to kick on or off, so they are great for trips to the beach or hanging around the house.

For my outfit inspiration for this shoe, I went for a beachy look.  This tank is a linen blend, which I like for warmer months because it is breathable. Linen is also perfect to wear with a detailed lace bralette because unlike a t-shirt material, it doesn’t look bunchy over the lace.  I also really like the muted green color of this tank.  And, since this is a spring look, I threw on a cardigan.  I don’t usually go for shorter cardigans but this one still has my favorite oversized look and I love it!

I’m wearing a pair of my go-to denim shorts (I suggest sizing up one size) and a nice, roomy beach bag.

More Embellished Slides I love…

Mules

I’ve been crushing on mules for a while now, so they are a natural addition to this post and a good transitional shoe between seasons.  I love the woven look of these mules.  The color is described as nude but they have more of a pinkish undertone in person.

For my outfit with these shoes, I went for a casual daytime look.  That’s what I love about mules like this – they really can make any simple look feel a little more chic and polished.  This shirt is from the Gibson x The Motherchic line that just launched!  It’s the cutest white, eyelet peplum-style tee and I like how effortlessly chic it is, just like the mules!  I also adore this little woven handbag, it’s such a cute piece for when you just need to carry a couple of small things, and the style is perfect for spring and summer.

I threw it all on with my “ab-solution” skinny jeans (this pair runs true to size) and it’s the perfect daytime spring look.

Strappy Heels

A pair of strappy heels will never go out of style!  These are a must-have every year, in my opinion.  I ALWAYS reach for simple nude heels like this for a wedding and even to pair with boyfriend jeans.  They’re such a staple for me.

I decided to wear them with a more dressed up look for this post.  I’m obsessed with this seersucker dress!  It is soooo pretty and such a flattering fit on me.  I’m wearing my usual dress size and it looks like I had it tailored to fit me!

I also paired it with this fun clutch which is so cute for a summer wedding or night out.

More Nude Heel Favorites

Espadrille Wedges

Something about the espadrille style shoes just feels so spring to me.  They are a timeless warm-weather shoe.  This Susana Espadrille Wedge also features a subtle scalloped edge which I love.  This color shoe goes with EVERYTHING, so it’s something you’ll wear all the time.  These shoes are Steve Madden and I always suggest you size up .5 size in Steve Madden shoes.

For this final look, I thought a sweet, feminine dress was the perfect thing to wear with espadrille wedges.  This woven wrap dress is also from the Gibson x The Motherchic line that launched last Thursday.  I’m wearing the XS and love how flowy and flirty it is.  It’s so cute, you almost don’t even notice how beat the spray tan on my legs is right now (almost).

Also, for my mommas out there, a bonus is that this dress is nursing friendly!
