With spring weather starting to kick in I know many of you have weddings, Easter gatherings, and other parties to dress yourselves for. With so many events it can take a toll on your clothing budget if you’re not careful. Since I don’t wear special occasion dresses very often, it’s not a place in my wardrobe I like to invest. Today I’m partnering with JCPenney to share affordable spring dresses for various events you may have going on.
If you haven’t shopped at JCPenney lately, they’re a one stop shop for head to toe outfits for the family. You’ll see below I not only found my own Easter outfit but something for my son, too! Would you believe his outfit was under $30? His outfit comes as a set, so not only did I save money, but I didn’t have to search around trying to coordinate kids’ pieces for a boy who is likely to outgrow this cute look in weeks. Eeeek – do your kids seem to outgrow clothes in a matter of weeks?
First Up – Easter Dressing
As a mom of 2 boys my personal Easter dressing is a bit more relaxed. I thought this striped jumpsuit (wearing XS, long enough for tall gals) was adorable and it pairs well with sandals or even sneakers. We do a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt and some outdoor activities with cousins so I will be wearing more practical footwear, but I often pair jumpsuits with heels as well. My gladiator sandals have some fun detailing to dress them up a bit.

Spring Wedding Guest
I don’t get invited to nearly as many weddings as I used to, so when I do I usually grab something new for the party. I chose this long black gown (true to size) that has a really sexy leg slit in the front. It’s pretty fitted so I’d recommend shape wear so you don’t have visible panty lines. Doesn’t this look so elegant? Hard to believe it’s under $100!! I added these affordable snakeskin heels to make the look a bit sassy.
Not to toot my own horn, but this 37 year old mom has her fair share of under 18 followers on Instagram. So if you’re heading to prom (GOSH I AM EXTRA HONORED with those youthful vibes you’re giving off here) this dress would be classy yet sexy for your special occasion.
