Amazon Prime Day … Deals?

amazon prime day 2019 - pinteresting plans blog

Good morning!!! Amazon Prime Day (which this year they made into a 2 day event) has started! To try and compete Target is hosting a “Day of Deals” and Walmart is having “The Big Save”. I even saw that EXPRESS is offering a special 40% off with free shipping sale today. My favorite lounge jumpsuit and staple (lined) cami are included.

Sifting through the links for a couple hours this morning I had the feeling I was “searching” for deals. And if you have to go find them… are they deals at all?? Things like an $18 tee shirt dress being $10 (and only in some sizes and colors) – I’m not quite sure I’d agree you’re SAVING if you’re just buying because it’s on sale. So I’d encourage you to be mindful of your purchases and try not to get caught up in the hype of a sale. If you buy something just because it’s marked down, and you don’t really need it, that purchase collecting dust in the back of your closet will not have been a deal in the end.

Where Are Best Savings

Electronics are probably where you can see the most savings. They’re a higher price point so the discount is bigger. If you don’t have a Dyson vacuum I HIGHLY recommend them. I use mine everyday. That seemed to be a better deal at Target.

The robot vacuums are on sale! I’ve always wanted one of those but since we are plotting to move at some point relatively soon I held off on purchasing one.

If you’re looking to beef up your cooking game – the Instant Pot and lots of air fryers are on sale.

What I Have That’s On Sale

Probably quite a few things but I was feeling unfulfilled “searching” for deals as I mentioned so I didn’t make it through everything. My vitamin E face oil that I LOVE is on sale today. There’s an additional clickable coupon you can use for an additional discount today.

What I Purchased On Prime Day

Not MUCH!! As I mentioned, we are planning to move relatively soon, so I’m particularly picky about what I let in the house because I’ll have to pack it soon enough. I restocked my Vitamin E Face Oil and grabbed this food sensitivity test. I took one several years ago and it explained by I had so much stomach discomfort after eating eggs (one of my favorite foods) and got reflux from peanut butter. Before this test, I’d been unable to pinpoint what was causing my symptoms and my older son complains of a lot of gas so I wanted to test him.

Total impulse purchase – I knew nothing on this skin aging DNA test until today but I figured I’d take one for the team and try it. I’ll report back if I think it’s actually helpful or just gives generic suggestions like “drink more water and wear sunscreen”.

The Ball Is In Your Court – What Did You Find?

There are so many sales. Surely you guys are looking for different things than me so if you found any great deals please drop them in the comments below so others in this community can take advantage! Your help is much appreciated. XO

Hi! Love to follow you for your transparent representation of products, your honesty and even the comedy. 🙂 Many times I come to you for a true representation of a product that interests me. Walmart is in on the sale game today with their “The Big Save” and I am grabbing up the Ninja Air Fryer and from Amazon the Mario Badescu Silver Powder, which really works for my girl and her teenagery skin…I might sneak it myself sometimes too. It is 25% off for Prime Day.

Thanks again for what you give your followers!
