Clean Eating Chocolate Chip Cookies

Healthy Chocolate Chip CookiesThis cookie recipe eliminates the bad ingredients with healthy substitutions.   It’s vegan and Paleo (depending on your chocolate chips) friendly and my kids and husband LOVE them.

Here’s how I improved the nutrition content of these cookies:

Avocado takes the place of butter.

Banana instead of egg.

Maple Syrup in place of sugar.

Almond flour and tapioca starch replace the flour.

Organic chocolate chips.


I first used my immersion blender to blend the banana and avocado into a creamy mixture.   Then stir in the remaining ingredients (except the chocolate chips which you fold in just before baking.   The mixture will be a little looser than regular cookies dough.   You could chill it and the starch will absorb some of that – I was in a rush to eat some chocolate so I did not wait.   The recipe makes about 10 medium sized cookies.   See recipe below.
