Cocktail Dresses Perfect For Fall

There’s no denying it, fall is here! And, as the bright greens of summer make their way into the reds and oranges of fall, our style changes too. Obviously, we make some switches in our clothing to accommodate the dropping temperatures, but I also make some adjustments in the colors and textures I wear, too.

Blush Cocktail Dress for Fall

I love bringing blush tones into fall. I think they transition really well into the autumn season. This Bardot Lace Sheath dress has a thicker lace overlay detail that’s perfect for fall. The high mock neck and sheath length are also both styles that are perfect for the season. I’d suggest this dress if you’re looking for something ultra classic and feminine for a special event.  This dress does run small.  I would size up one size above your normal to be comfortable.

For this dress, I paired it with these Betsey Johnson Sydne Embellished Satin Sandals in nude. I think the pearl detail is so delicate and timeless, it pairs with the dress perfectly! I also found this gold bangle at Lord & Taylor with pearl details which matched flawlessly with the shoes.  You won’t believe the price of the bracelet!

Style Tip: Sometimes we shy away from blush and lighter tones this time of year as our summer tans fade.  I always suggest a spray tan before a special event this time of year because I know personally it helps me feel more confident being in photos.

Black Lace Cocktail Dress for Fall

Of course, a Little Black Dress is always a good idea. While black isn’t a color I always gravitate towards in the summer, I like it for the cooler seasons. But, this is a LBD with a twist!! If you’re looking for a fun and flirty dress for a fall special event, the Kensie Lace dress is perfect. Not only is it very comfortable for a cocktail party, but the pleated hem also makes it great for dancing! And, if you have dance moves like me, you’ll appreciate that the flouncy pleated hem distracts any on-lookers.

This dress has a black lace overlay on top of a nude lining so it pairs great with nude accessories. Like the blush dress, I’m wearing it with the Betsey Johnson Sydne Embellished Satin Sandals (true to size) and to tie it all together I added this champagne-colored Oyster Convertible Clutch. I also think this dress would transition into the holiday season as well so you can get multiple uses out of it.
