Can you believe it’s already time for the Fall Capsule Wardrobe?! But, it’s true, fall is just around the corner!
Before we get into this you might be like…wait a minute, what’s a capsule wardrobe? Let me explain. The idea of a capsule wardrobe is to group versatile, basic wardrobe pieces that can be restyled in many outfit combinations. The goal is to have a wardrobe of items that are flexible and can be worn a variety of different ways for a single season. I try to pick a good range of pieces as well as ones that are fairly budget-friendly. But, it’s also about filling your closet with high-quality, timeless pieces that will work for years.
So, for this capsule, we’re focusing on the fall season and the perfect, basic items for Fall 2018.
To make shopping and style for fall easy, we have your wardrobe essentials here. Obviously, I’ve got a few staple layering pieces like some light-weight jackets, vests, flannels, and camis. For accessories this fall I’m sticking with the basic camel colors, which makes mixing and matching a total breeze.

Let’s jump into a few different ways to style these pieces. You can see from the styling tips below, I pick these items because they are INSANELY versatile. I love these types of pieces that can be worn a million different ways.
Twill Military Vest: A green military vest is a fall staple and you’ll find you can wear it and pair it about 100 different ways.
Comfy Tunic: I added two comfy tunics to this capsule because they are great to just “grab and go.” The Gibson Cozy Convertible Neckline Tunic is bound to be your new favorite piece, it is so cozy and flattering.
White Skinny Jeans: I know it might be taboo to wear white after Labor Day, but I love wearing whites in the fall, so a classic white skinny jean is a must for me.

Moto Jacket: I think a staple moto jacket is key for fall 2018. This suede moto jacket that I picked for this capsule is a little bit of an investment, but worth it for a jacket of this quality. This style jacket will get worn season after season. I own it in multiple colors because it’s so good.
Knee-High Leather Boot: A staple in every fall closet is leather knee-high boots. I wear the heck out of mine in the fall and winter. These Sam Edelman boots are a perfect pick because they are high-quality and will last you for many seasons.

At the Office
Black Skinny Jeans: A pair of well-fitting black skinny jeans is a closet staple. You can dress them up for the office or date night out.
Black Pumps: Time to put away the strappy, open-toed shoes. Black pumps will get worn a ton in the fall and winter.
Chambray Button-up Chambray tops are perfect for layering, whether you wear them alone, layer them over a cami, or layer a sweater on top. Further you can tuck them into high-waisted pants, knot off the bottom, or wear them open, you have endless ways to style these tops.
