Must-Have Fall Shoes 2017
Asking me to pick a favorite Fall shoe would be like asking me to pick a favorite child. They each have their moments. Some days it’s so easy to throw on a mule and other days I want to glam up my leggings with over the knee boots. Today I am sharing five Fall shoes I don’t want to be without for the 2017 season. All of the shoes (and some of the accessories) are from Sole Society. I think the quality of Sole Society items is higher than the price point reflects. Sole Society’s site also carries other popular brands besides their own (like this Blank NYC Moto jacket I have in size small).
Fall Shoes 2017: The Peep Toe Bootie
Peep toes are great for that in-between portion of Fall where the days are warm and the nights are cool. While I’m looking forward to ditching the upkeep of a pedicure soon I don’t want to rush peep-toes away. Peep toe booties (I’m also loving these mule booties) look great with shorts, skinny jeans, and dresses. The peep toe booties I am wearing below are true to size and CURRENTLY ON SALE! My neutral sweater poncho is a great layering piece – over a tank now and a thermal later. This poncho is also plenty long to wear with leggings (WIN!).

Fall Shoes 2017: The Slip-On Mule
Like pajama jeans and bayalage hair, mules are a trend for the lazy gal (like me!!!). I love to keep a pair of shoes (or flip flops in the Summer) in my mudroom so that I can rush out of the house when my kids are on the move. Mules are so trendy right now so I doubled up on trends and got this pair in leopard. Have you tried to shop leopard mules this season? They’re sold out at so many retailers so if they’re on your list I’d encourage you to buy them ASAP. This pair is comfortable and doesn’t slide off my feet. This leopard scarf is a light layering piece and a great way to dress up a plain tank. Sole Society also carries mule booties that are on my wishlist!

Fall Shoes 2017: The Basic Fall Bootie
I’m basic. As a style blogger you learn certain fashion lessons, and one lesson for me has been that I look back with regret on very trendy outfits. Basic booties, skinny jeans, and a tunic layered with a blanket scarf is an ideal Fall outfit for me. I’m not trying to be on the cutting edge of style. I am a mom trying not to look frumpy. This shawl collar cardigan is a chic and easy layering piece. My neutral satchel and booties (true to size) pair perfectly together. I always size up a half size in booties to leave room for socks.

Fall Shoes 2017: The Flat Slouchy Boot
While I wear a lot of heels on Instagram my main job in life is as a mom. I live in a pedestrian neighborhood (I can walk to Whole Foods and Chipotle – what more does one need?) so flat boots are practical for me in the Fall. Slouchy boots will be trending this Fall and I love these slouchy low booties (I sized up a half size) are a mix of the slouchy and military trends without much heel so I can walk a few miles in them without difficulty.

Fall Shoes 2017: The Over The Knee Boot
There is no easier way to dress up leggings and a tunic than with over the knee boots. It elevates a frumpy outfit and makes it so chic. I love to style over the knee boots with skinny jeans, leggings, and casual dresses. My legs are SO PALE in the Fall and Winter and over the knee boots are such a fashionable way to conceal that from the general public :). The over the knee boots I ordered from Sole Society have yet to arrive so stay tuned on Instagram – I’ll be sure to share my thoughts and style them once they arrive and add them into this post.
I’d love to hear what your favorite Fall shoes are! Drop a comment below. To see how I’m styling my latest shoe finds make sure to check out my SHOP MY INSTAGRAM page or follow along with me on Instagram or Facebook.
Thank you to Sole Society for sponsoring this post.

September 19, 2017 at 12:31 pmI’m on the fence about mules, I so rarely wear flats. Do they stay on your feet when you walk?

September 19, 2017 at 1:04 pmHi Katie!!
YES!!! as long as you find a pair that isn’t too wide for you feet keeping them on isn’t an issue. they are sort of like flip flops for the colder months.
Thanks for following!!

October 16, 2017 at 9:48 amYour style really killed it, loose tops, tight jeans, scarves and boots can never go wrong together. One of my favorite part of fall season are boots. There is so much variety and so many styles in boots, and they enhance the personality almost instantly. Your style with a leopard print scarf and brown suede boots is really looking nice. I bought myself similar kind of boots called OTBT Sandpiper at an affordable price, they also look very stylish and good on comfort.
