We are making our way to the weekend and then it’s almost time for Cyber Week Sales! I have gotten a lot of great feedback about my suede over the knee boots so I am sharing my other favorite pair! The color of these affordable over the knee boots is called “taupe” online but it’s a light brown, as opposed to the pair I often show that is called “taupe” and is grayer.
I am trying to resist using the holiday shopping sales to purchase all items for myself. Are you guilty? I did purchase an i-Pad mini last year for my kids on Cyber Monday. It was a total impulse purchase but boy does it get used! We got rid of cable about a year ago thinking it would do wonders for my son’s screen time. Alas, he would watch hours of videos on YouTube using the iPad if I allowed it. There are adults getting real rich on YouTube entertaining toddlers by playing with action figures and Shopkins. The one I bought my kids last year will be under $200 on Black Friday at Target. They actually released a preview of many of their Black Friday Deals already if you are interested in pre-planning your shopping.
So about this outfit….
These boots are awesome! It’s really hard to find boots that don’t slide down. These are not quite as tight as my other pair but I walked around for a few hours in them the other day and had no issues with them sliding below my knees. These suede over the knee boots come in olive green, black, burgundy, gray, and brown (called taupe) and are UNDER $100 SHIPPED. They are the best dupe I know of for the coveted Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots. It’s funny I almost always get my boots from Nordstrom and neither of these boots are from there.
I am a huge fan of leather leggings. I think they’re such a chic way to get away with being so comfortably dressed. The Spanx pair of leather leggings is very fitted but I have also heard great things about the Scuba leggings from Express (which are currently on sale buy one, get one 1/2 off). You can dress these up with a cami and moto jacket for date night or wear them with an oversized sweater for an athleisure look.
The lace-up sweater is gently oversized and a light neutral. My fur vest is not new, so I linked a very similar faux fur vest. Fur vests are a fun way to dress up black skinny pants or a swing dress (this one on sale under $30) around the holidays. Faux fur can look very cheap if you don’t find the right item so pay close attention to the color and texture.
