How To Reduce The Appearance of Cellulite

how to diminish the appearance of cellulite - on pinteresting plans fashion blog

Ever since mentioning I use a cellulite massager to reduce the appearance of my cellulite, I have been getting several messages a week asking how I use it.  Today I’m sharing the cellulite reduction tool I own and how I use it.

How To Reduce the Appearance of Cellulite

I started noticing cellulite on the back of my legs in high school.   At the time I didn’t notice it on others so I thought I just had bad luck.   As I’ve gotten older I hear almost all my friends noticing (or complaining about) their cellulite.  No matter how much I have worked out, or even when I ate a super clean diet leading up to my wedding, I could never get rid of the dimples on the back of my legs. Last year I had heard of the “fascia blaster” tools that women were using to transform their “problem areas”.   I was very curious, but the one that was advertised on Facebook was $90.   Since I didn’t know anyone with first hand experience, I didn’t want to purchase it.  Then I found something on Amazon that seemed to follow the same technique and was under $10!!

Enter: The Cellulite Massager

how to reduce the appearance of cellulite with a cellulite massager This is the cellulite massager I have been using for over a year.   There are a lot of YouTube videos demonstrating how to use it, but for me there is no magic technique – just elbow grease.   I rigorously rub the cellulite massager over the back of my legs every time I shower.   I use a shower oil to help it glide more smoothly.

WARNING!   Expect bruising.

As the saying goes, “no pain, no gain”.   I wouldn’t say this process is painful but if you do it right you will INITIALLY have bruising in the area you rigorously rubbed with the cellulite massager.   The first time I used this tool to try and diminish the appearance of my cellulite was before a trip to Puerto Rico in 2017.    It took almost 2 weeks for the bruising to clear.

This is not a cure.

I still have cellulite.  It is just much less obvious than it was a year and a half ago.   It is important to keep up with using this regularly so the initial bruising doesn’t come back (if you take a long absence).   I didn’t take before photos but I would say my rear dimples are about 70% less obvious than they were prior to using this cellulite reduction method.

I also use this on my face!

I was starting to notice saggy jowls as I eased into my late 30’s.   Fun is!!  In the shower I rigorously rub this cellulite massager under my cheekbone – angling between my ear and the corner of my mouth.   It has helped minimize my gorgeous jowls and given me more definition under my cheekbones.   I have also tried using it on my sagging neck skin was well but I haven’t noticed any changes in that area.

Have you tried it?

I know a lot of you purchased this when I mentioned it on Facebook and Instagram.   Did you keep up with using it?   Did you have similar results?   Drop a comment below – I’d love to hear how it worked for you!!!

I bought this and used it religiously last summer before having family photos taken wearing shorts last summer. Results were great! Definitely doesn’t make it disappear but my legs did get smoother. I regret not keeping up with it all winter but I’m back at it again as bikini season starts! Thanks again for the reco!

      Hi Sherri!!!!
I’m so glad you had similar results to me!!! I think it’s a no brainer. Low effort and so inexpensive. It will be easy to get back to this summer!
      Thanks for commenting 🙂

Great post! While I’ve never used this product before it sounds like a neat little thing. Definitely worth checking it out and trying!

I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and I think it’s too early to notice a change. It definitely hurt the first few times and the bruising is not pretty but I’m hopefully in a couple of weeks it’ll be less noticeable! And I kinda like the feel of it now that it doesn’t hurt!

I’m going to try this; no pain no gain! Is there a particular shower oil that you use it with?

I was JUST complaining about my cellulite the other day. I work out a ton and eat semi-healthy, not much more I’m willing to do! I would love to try this, but since it’s summer and bathing suit season the bruising would not be ideal. Do you think the more expensive one on fb keeps people from bruising?? Have you ever heard reviews about it? Just curious!

      Hi Jaclyn!!!
The pricier facia blaster will DEFINITELY bruise the same way this tool will. It lasts up to 2 weeks but when it clears so will a lot of the dimpling.
      Thanks,
      Rach
