For new readers, creating a capsule wardrobe means intentionally buying versatile clothing items that you can easily pair with one another. Should you want to take a minimalistic approach to shopping, capsule wardrobes are for you.

Tops:
A basic white long sleeve, flannel and sweater tank are what I consider to be the three fall essential tops. Each having its own different style, but still versatile.
Bottoms:
I wanted to include a pair of light and dark wash jeans as well as a pair of staple black leggings. Classic dark wash jeans are always a good option for fall/winter and to mix it up, the light wash pair has a fun cut-off hem.
Outerwear:
For those familiar to the blog, there is a good chance you have seen me writing about this sweater blazer. I have it in multiple colors and I would say it’s one of my best fashion purchases. Here is a post where you can see how I styled the camel sweater blazer with the turtleneck sweater tank.
The gray sweater tunic is a good style to wear with jeans, but it’s also the perfect length to wear with leggings. For fall layering, throw on the black teddy vest.

I am a huge fan of dainty jewelry that can be worn daily and a tote bag large enough to carry my day to day essentials. For shoes, a pair of camel booties will surely go with almost anything. I threw in a pair of leopard print loafers as I know many of us are crazy about animal print for fall. They are great for casual wear or for the office.
