It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a menswear post here on the blog, but Chris has been busy sharing outfit ideas over on the Himteresting Plans Instagram account. Today I am hoping to streamline your shopping and help you take advantage of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale discounts with a men’s Fall capsule wardrobe. The NSALE as it’s commonly termed is a unique sale because pre-season items are marked down. This way you’ll be ready for Fall when it rears it’s head (which I hope isn’t too soon, I love Summer).
Nordstrom included so many affordable basics and high quality shoe brands in their Anniversary Sale this year. I’ll speak to the fit of the items Chris is wearing but for sizing reference he is just under 6’3″ and around 175 lbs. He has an athletic build thanks to a rigorous workout schedule and his own health minded personal chef (me ?). Generally he wears medium in tops and we argue over whether he needs a 32″ or 34″ inseam (I say 34″).
Men’s Fall Capsule Wardrobe 2019
The idea of a capsule wardrobe is to trim down your closet so it’s easier to put together polished outfits each day. It saves you time, money, and space in your closet by purchasing items you love that you can restyle several ways for different occasions. Chris works from home and one day a week in a family car business so his attire is mostly casual. Like his wife, he is comfortable in jeans and joggers. Here are the pieces I selected for this year’s men’s Fall capsule wardrobe:
