Mommy & Me Beach Attire

Social distancing has led us on several outdoor adventures in the last week. Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom to share mommy and me beach attire.

Next month we open our beach cottage and with home schooling looking like the new norm, we are preparing for what we hope are warmer days on the horizon. If we can do science class on the beach I might be a more zen teacher?

Thinking we would take a spring break trip I grabbed my kids these wearable towels (how did I not know about this soon?!) and then stumbled on an almost identical women’s swim coverup. Thankfully beach days are also in the foreseeable future even if social distancing persists.

Having boys I don’t get to twin with them as often as I’d like. I can only wish they made these terry cloth coverups in adult women’s sizes.   Cam is a tall 4 year old, and Mac a tall 7 year old.  I ordered one size up (the 5/6) for Cam but ordered Mac his current size and probably should have sized up for a roomier fit. 

Mac is wearing Native water shoes.  They’re light weight slip ons that are perfect for the beach.  There are tons of color options.

Mac was also in need of a swimsuit since he’s grown so much since last summer so I grabbed him these striped swim trunks and the cutest crab sweatshirt.  We live in New England so sweatshirts are a year round item in our wardrobe.

I also saw a great beachy maxi that I love is back in stock so I wanted to share a few ways to style it for spring plus a few outfit ideas for mommy and me athleisure outfits for those of you who have girls.
