Rugs are an easy way to refresh a room whether you’re going for a different look or just want something new for the change of season. I’ve rounded up some of the rug trend’s I’m seeing along with a few favorites in each category.
Washable
Washable rugs have been around for a bit but not only is the interest picking up, so are the retailers who carry them. My favorite place to use these are in entryways, kitchens, and play rooms. Heavy traffic areas like that tend to get dirty quick and it’s nice to have the option to throw them in the wash or wipe them down. I’ve also found washables rugs to be a bit more of a pain to move from under something like a bed frame, so it’s not my preference to use them in a bedroom. Below are a few of my favorites:
Geometric Patterns
From rugs to decor, geometric patterns and checks are in! I personally like a subtle pattern. Two of my favorite rugs listed below can be found in my own home.
Neutrals and Natural Fibers
It’s no secret I love neutrals so I am here for this trend! Natural fiber rugs, like jute, can bring just the right amount of texture to a room and makes it easy to style pops of color in your decor. I also love to layer natural fiber rugs, just like I did in my living room above. Below are a few of my favorites:
