You all know I LOVE my athleisure style so I thought it’d be fun to share a save vs. splurge post of some must-have athleisure pieces.
The perfect pair of high-waisted leggings is a must for athleisure! Whether athleisure for you means hitting the gym or hitting the playground, you can’t go wrong with high-waisted black leggings. The save leggings are under $25 and give you a comfortable fit in a breathable fabric. If you want something that offers a little more, the splurge leggings are made of high-performance fabric which will give you more control when it comes to sweat (aka, helps you avoid swamp butt).
Sherpa jackets look great with everything, especially in the globally flattering color of black. The splurge jacket has a detachable hood, while the save jacket is a more bomber jacket style and will save you about 50%.
Obviously, we need the perfect pair of tennis shoes for this athleisure look. The save option is also a little sassy with a cute cheetah print, and they are under $100!
Black joggers are so insanely versatile. They work great for the athleisure style, but there are tons of ways to style joggers, you can even dress them up for work. The save option are only $22 and a nice knit material – ultra comfy! But if you’re looking to splurge, Zella makes amazing joggers that are definitely worth the price tag.
I love cowl necks because they aren’t just so comfortable and cozy, but I think they look really chic. Add a cowl neck to a sweatshirt and suddenly you have a slightly more stylish piece. My save sweatshirt is by Zella and under $40. Or, opt for the splurge option that comes with side slits and thumb holes.
I’m obsessed with wedge sneakers right now because they are just SO versatile. They wear great with athleisure style but you can also dress them up. The save option is a total steal at just $47! You’ll find a million ways to style these.
Color Block Leggings
If you’re looking to splurge on a really high-quality pair of leggings in a trendy color block look, these Outdoor Voices leggings are perfect.
Long Sleeve Performance Top
Last, but certainly not least, a performance top is a staple piece. Throw it on with leggings or tuck it into joggers and you’re good to go. You can also layer it under cardigans. Save on this top by opting for the Old Navy option. However, if you want to splurge this Adagio top is SO SUPER SOFT.
