Serena & Lily Kitchen Updates

You may have noticed in recent pictures that we’ve made a few changes to our kitchen. From entertaining to working from home, we spend more time at our kitchen island than anywhere else. Making me more than willing to invest in a few pieces that have both the look I wanted and comfort needed for such a high traffic area.

Counter Stools

I’ve had my fair share of counter stools but if you look back at the kitchen inspiration post I did before our last kitchen renovation you can see these Balboa Counter Stools have been on my wishlist for several years.

Aside from the neutral beauties they are, I love the gold accents that have a protective effect on the counter stools. The cushions are comfortable, durable, and have wiped clean of all food spills. Since Marissa, Chris and I work from home we have spent a lot of time testing kitchen stools and these are the most comfortable we have had!

Pendant Lights

First let me note, I LOVED the woven pendant lights we had in here before. But when these counter stools arrived, I realized I had a lot of the same textures happening in one room. Since the counter stools were always a priority for me, I decided to find a pendant light that would work well with the counter stools and the rest of the kitchen. The Melrose Pendant Lights were a perfect fit! I am manifesting a new renovation where I plan to re-home the woven pendants.

Runner

While I am a neutral loving gal, come spring, I do like to intro some light blues. This simple but beautiful runner adds just the right amount of color to the kitchen. Having it in such a high traffic area, I can also say it is very durable (though currently in need of a cleaning).

Future Kitchen Updates

Next up we’re focusing on the pantry. It’s a blank slate and I am in desperate need of some cabinets to organize! I’ll be sure to update you during the process on my Instagram Stories.
