Hey guys! If you’ve been following along on Pinteresting Plans you know I am a big fan of Abercombie and Fitch denim. I have several pairs of jeans and shorts from there I have been wearing for years and just added a couple new pieces for Spring. Today I’m partnering with Abercrombie to share my favorite spring denim essentials.
Spring Transition Outfits With Denim
Denim is a year round staple in my wardrobe. While I don’t love the idea of leg shaving weather – I am eager to usher out these winter temperatures. This time of year brings a lot of temperature fluctuations and I know not all of you are in geographically cold areas. So I’m including some of my favorite shorts, jeans, and what denim is on my spring wishlist.
Denim Leggings

These denim leggings are probably the most frequently worn skinny jeans in my closet. They’re super comfortable and have a zip fly which some denim leggings don’t have. These jeans fit true to size – and as with all dark rinse jeans I always suggest washing them a couple times before wearing. The dark dye tends to rub off on furniture when dark rinse denim is brand new. The front pockets are faux pockets so there are no VPL’s (visible pocket lines) showing in the front. I am wearing regular length even though I am 5’11” and these hit just above the ankle which is how I prefer the inseam on skinny jeans.

I got so many messages about this lace trim white cami when I was wearing it on Instagram stories while I was in Florida. It’s so pretty and can be worn alone or under a cardigan or blazer year round. I have size XS for reference.
White Skinny Jeans

Come spring one of the things I get asked most about is which pair of white denim I recommend. My personal go-to pair is the high-rise super skinny jeans from Abercrombie. They’re thick enough that they don’t show undergarments or bum dimples (not that I’m suggesting you have any, I know you’re perfect!!). While I do wear nude undergarments with all white tops and pants – sometimes even those show through – but not with the Abercrombie white skinnies. These jeans are snug and hold you in wearing your usual size. I am wearing 26 regular (my usual size in skinny jeans).

These high rise shorts were super popular with Pinteresting Plans readers last spring and summer and unfortunately so popular that many people couldn’t get their hands on them. Before they sell out this season grab yourself a pair! I always size up one size in shorts because I don’t like them fitted in the waist like I do with skinny jeans. If you haven’t worn high waisted shorts before you might look in the mirror and think they look odd at first – but trust me – you’ll come around! I always wear high waisted shorts with my swimsuits while on vacation because they keep the lovely pooch area covered.

Because I love my high waisted distressed shorts so much I grabbed a pair without so much distressing to add to my spring and summer wardrobe for 2019. In the summer I wear denim shorts almost every day. Because these are a rigid denim they get better with wear.
Boyfriend Jeans

Boyfriends jeans are a year round item, but I don’t tend to wear them with boots so I reach for them most in the spring. Pair them with cute sneakers, flip flops, or heels. I normally like high waisted jeans, but boyfriend jeans are meant to fit lower and looser. I ordered my usual waist size in tall because I like to be able to cuff boyfriend jeans.

My Abercrombie Spring Wishlist
I wanted to share a few things that I’m loving for spring from Abercrombie below:
There are a few pairs of denim that are on my wishlist. You may have seen we are hoping to move this summer so I’m trying hard to keep my closet contained since for showings. I am loving the boot leg and flare jeans I’m seeing and that they come in tall sizes. I love the look of a flared ankle jean, but I prefer to wear this style with heels for the leg lengthening illusion that it gives. Since I’m 5’11” it can be hard to find an inseam that accommodates heels. I’ll keep you posted about these.
