The Best Nursing Tops

When it comes to nursing, fashion might not be the first thing on your mind. But, I’ve found a bunch of nursing tops that aren’t just fashionable but are accessible for breastfeeding mamas.

The breastfeeding months (or years in my case) can be overwhelming and exhausting. You want something that looks stylish without any effort all while making nursing aas easy as possible. These are my favorite tops for nursing that will make your mom status (whether you’re a new mom or have done it before) more fashionable and simple.

Bobeau One-Button Fleece Wrap Cardigan
First let me say this top rocks because it comes in so many color options. From basic black to red, white, grey, plum, navy and more. You could just live in a different one everyday! It’s a wrap style cardigan, meaning it allows you to button closed when you need discreet coverage. The asymmetrical hem is figure flattering as well!

Old Navy Maternity Extra-Long Open-Front Nursing Sweater
This sweater is brillant because it can be worn open like a long cardigan hitting at the knees, but also has a built in button on each shoulder so it can convert into sweater that covers up as well. It comes in navy, army green, and light pink.   The pink is my personal favorite.

Gibson Convertible Neckline Cozy Fleece Tunic
This beautiful top isn’t designed to be a nursing top but works great as one none-the-less. It’s a super soft fleece and has a figure flattering high-low hem. You can wear it off the shoulder, or let the cowl neck lay loose. It also runs long so it’s perfect to wear with leggings (a mama’s best friend, right?). It comes in tons of color options from grey to black, blush, blue, burgandy and more!  I got this top while I was nursing and still wear mine ALL THE TIME!

Long Sleeve Cross-Panel Nursing Top
This soft top features a crossover front panel so it’s super simple to lift for nursing. It also doubles as a great materinity top so get it early and make the most of out of it! It is less than $25 so stock up.

Bun Maternity So Soft Three-Way Maternity/Nursing Wrap
Another wrap-style cardigan that makes effortless layering a snap. Wear it open and when you’re ready to nurse just clasp it up for the coverage you need. The material is SUPER soft and great quality so you know it will last wear after wear! It comes in not just an array of colors but also a striped option.

Another top that’s not necessarily for nursing but works great because of the easy clasp buttons. The soft waffle fabric is mega cozy, while the babydoll fit is uber flattering for those first post-pregnancy months. It is another one that’s great for growing bellies too, so get it early and you’ll thank me.

Lira Clothing Lunar Surplice Sweater
This wrap style cardigan as a more knit look. I love the added detail of the hem and cuffed sleeve, it makes it feel more polished and put together than some other nursing tops.

Above you can see the top I got the most wear out of during and after nursing! It’s by one of my favorite brands at Nordstrom. I’m wearing it off the shoulder in the photo above but worn as a cowl neck it’s easy to access the milk jugs.  The bralette I’m wearing here is also a good option for the later days of nursing when your (or at least my) boobs are not as plentiful ????
