Workwear Trend to Try

Happy Monday!! It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a workwear post so I wanted to pop in with some late winter/early spring pieces I think you guys will love. Everything is from Ann Taylor who is currently have a big site wide sale!

Around this time of year I always start craving some beach days and my fashion choices reflect that. You may have seen this post last week with polished coastal outfits and today’s workwear all has sailor detailing! Ann Taylor really nailed the sailor inspired fashion details for spring so I wanted to showcase a few of my favorite on trend items from their current collection.

First up, these sailor pants. They have so much stretch they feel almost like leggings. I bought the neutral pair but they also come in black and green. I wanted a trim fit so I sized down one. These would be cute with white sneakers or I LOVE these cap toe heels.

I paired them with a staple white button down. This one is very delicate and fits true to size (I am wearing XS). Unlike poplin, this material won’t wrinkle at just the sight of your seatbelt. If you go with white like I did I recommend pairing it with a nude bra.

The striped cardigan is a great year round piece. I love the texture of the knit and the neutral color combo of the stripes. This sweater is oversized so if between sizes consider going down. I am wearing XS.

Then we have this striped sweater which also has the sailor inspired button detailing. This sweater has a boxier fit, I am wearing XS.

Finally this last white button neck sweater (currently sold out, also love this one) pairs so well with jeans. I added some flare with the leopard sneakers (that fit true to size). The jeans are full length, I am wearing size 0 long (I sized down one and am 5’11” for reference).

Are you working outside the home these days? Whether you’re at home or in a dedicated work space I think it’s important to dress to fill the role you want to be in that day. I am more productive when I look that part!
