What is the world’s best men’s white t-shirt? Pete and I set out to answer this very important
question. After all my favorite outfit is jeans and a white t-shirt! In a nutshell we purchased t-
shirts in both V-neck and crew neck from every major retailer in all relevant sizes. I stayed away
from very small retailers and brands that are often out of stock. For reference Pete is 6’6” and I
am 6’2” so sleeve and torso length are very important to us. Other factors we used to grade the
shirts are the softness of the material, how see-through it is, neckline, baggy armpit area, and
most importantly… washability.
Once we had our top four choices, we put them to the real test and ran them through the
washer and dryer a couple times. One of the four shrunk more than I am comfortable with, so it
is the clear fourth option and really do not recommend it.
Without further ado here are the top four best white men’s t-shirts:
1: Express Slim Solid Moisture-Wicking V-Neck T-Shirt
Express offers several t-shirt options, and this is the one you need! The key here is to size up AND go with the “tall” size. After a wash and dry this t-shirt is the clear winner.
2: Topman Scotty Longline T-Shirt
This t-shirt has a scalloped hem as you can see in the picture of Pete wearing it. You will want to order true to size.
#3: Old Navy Soft-Washed V-Neck Tee for Men
This t-shirt is only $8! Order this true to size, but again, get the tall. This will give you a perfect fit after wash and dry.
#4: Pair of Thieves Men’s 2pk Crew Undershirt
I do not recommend this t-shirt after the washer/dryer test.
